Assessment 2

ok to days our assessment and i think i have everything if i don't i think i have enough to pass lol my fav part about this class other than having a lecture that makes it feel as though you are wanted there and that you are doing good lol is the web page i really want to put some animations up on there later on and i know what i'm gonna be playing with during the holidays lol anyway thanks for the great class Damien.    

Week 12

week 12 class was good cause we recapped on what had been done in class and i learnt a lot. and it also refreshed a few things and we learnt about what will be done in the assessment and  have really enjoyed playing with my webpage and i really want to do more to it. 

RSS

Ok an RSS feed is a way of linking a page to yours and having it update little bit's of information, but it only works if the page is able to be updated like blogs or pod casts. it isn't really that hard to work out and you can tell if you can link a page because up in the search bar it will give u a little icon in the right hand side and you just click on that.

A counter helps keep track of how many people have visited your page you can subscribe to these from various sites and you can have different styles of counters as well.

Technorati is a search engine for blogs. a way of saving webpages for future use. they also have other bogs that relate to your blog and rank them on the relevance to you're blog and they also don't rank by how many links to your blog but how many blogs are linked to your blog.eg one blog linked many times only count's as one toward your authority. 

Assessment 1

God i was freaking out about the assignment for this class i felt so bad during the class thinking oh god did i do that?? but yay i passed lol god i was so happy cause i really want to do animation and create mad things like charlie and stuff like that lol 

FTP

FTP (File Transfer Protocol)

The Various uses of of FTP are game servers, voice serves, internet hosts and other physical serves. Some of the Negative aspects to FTP are

• Passwords and File information are sent in clear text that can be read by others.
• there are multiple TCP/IP Connections used which means firewalls may need some logic and configuration changes to account for the connections.
• It is hard to filter active mode FTP traffic for clients by using firewalls because the client has to open an arbitrary port to receive the connection.

• FTP is a high latency protocal due to the number of commands to start a transfer.

Some positives.

• FTP uses multiple TCP connections which unlike SSH that is hard to tunnel over FTP sets up a new TCP connection at either end which will bypass the SSH connection.

FTP is a way of sharing files with out much variation between hosts and to promote file sharing.

assessment 1

This Class has been great all in all. we have learnt so much in this class, all the little things about the internet. With Blogger it's easy to post comments and after this one it will be my seventh. here r some of mine One of my comments    other comment also playing with the aesthetic look is cool with a wide range of templates to fool around with and i enjoyed the html part of it where ur able to play with the colour and fonts. and i also tagged my posts with an mpi104 tag. my favrote post is on the vomitus web site because this is the artist that inspired me the most.

Another website is Del.icio.us which lets You save websites so no matter what computer you r on you can always find what site u saved.i have 4 different websites so far but these r just 3 of them lol the first is an artist i admire R.S.Connett the second is my fav guitar site where i find just about any song i want  ult-guitar and the third is the all famous youtube. Plus i have all the other people blogs we needed lol (god there is a lot) lol. But this really is a good site.

And last but not least flickr where i have up loaded 6 images but my three fav ones r my eye it's a bit blury but i still like it cause of the colour, this graffiti i found and my friends.it is a great site cause of all the great images that r on there and how easy it is to upload and shear. 

CSS is a easier way of web pages, it helps with separating the document information from it's presentation. It places all of ur colors and text style at the top to make it easier and separate so that u can fine things. In the layout you can change about everything depending on the template u can have headings or things on different sides.With the page elements u can also do more changes like adding little things.

um ok here are some other web sites that do the whole tag thingy lol

ok getting a little confused with this del.icio.us thing lol but i'm working it out lol i don't quite get the network thing yet but i have done it and i still think it is a great way to save sites lol.

Ok del.icio.us is great and easy to use for keeping the web pages u could never remember lol here is mine my account

ok Flicker is cool. it is easy to use and used my yahoo account which was even better
cause i didn't have to set up another account to remember. The pic's on it are interesting
and omg i just went into explore and they have colored eggs that look mad i am so
going to use this now there are a lot of great things on here. But the images they
have are really interesting i clicked one the like that says a year ago today and seeing the
images that are there makes me want to do that stuff, there is a really cool guitar on the 5
it is a black and white image with the guitar in color and it looks cool. This site is

Robert Connett

i thought that for my first post that i would talk about my favorite artist. Connett also has 

done a few little animations. He has also created his own web site called Vomits.com

his art is a little obscene but i still like the drawing style, his work is very violent but i like that sort 

of stuff. He has had a rough life and has done many things. Connett has created magazine covers and 

CD covers and has been in  magazine called black October a number of times. i also love the way

he describes things, i love it because his words let you inside his head and he describes his thoughts 

in detail, like the way he describes his passion for art, he compares it to the need for water 

as if he can't live his life with out his art.
